Join us for a special energy forum and workshop to demonstrate expertise and solutions for Energy Resiliency, Reliability and Security from a vendor neutral perspective. The following 5 key discussion topics will be covered:

1) MicroGrid Technology: 8:30 am - 10:00 am

2) Energy Management: 10:00 am - 11:30 am

3) Cyber Security/RMF: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (Lunch included)

4) Building Automation/DDC: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

5) Integration of Industrial Control Systems (Smart Grid): 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Session Descriptions:

MicroGrid Technology – A new phrase that is rooted in the historical concepts of "loads preservation," MicroGrids are now spearheading the integration of the newest generation of energy, industrial and facility control systems linking multiple generation systems with operational needs of the client in a way that provides critical system redundancy. This session will provide details and case studies to expand on the future of keeping operations ready under the most challenging circumstances.

Energy Management – This session goes beyond the standard Energy Management text of individual conservation measures and looks at the integrated capabilities of tying conservation measures and existing control systems with data analysis systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. We will discuss in detail building analytics, system integration techniques and new approaches to making your facilities perform at a more efficient rate.

Cyber Security/RMF – This session provides a detailed overview of the relationship between the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Learn when and why RMF is required and when to apply the RMF guidelines, and how to implement a successful RMF project to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO).

Building Automation/DDC – Building Automation Systems (BAS) have been controlling our facilities for decades. In this session we will explore the new ways to take your BAS system and allow for greater performance. New "bolt on" applications using open protocols and higher level integration with metering and communication system are opening a world of possibilities to bring your BAS to the next generation.

Integration of Industrial Control Systems (Smart Grid) – Critical to the success of Infrastructure and Smart Grid solutions, is the integration of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) data silos to provide a common platform of contextual information to deliver the information. This session will provide details and case studies for Smart Grid interconnected technologies and processes that enable intelligent monitoring and control of building and utility systems including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Attendees of the all-day workshop will earn 7 Professional Development Hours.

If you would like to pay via the traditional method of cash (or check) at the door, please select the "Check by Mail" option in the dropdown list above and complete your transaction so we have your registration on file. Remember to bring your cash or check to the event.

Note that if you intend to pay by cash or check, we will charge for no shows, as the Hale Ikena charges us based on a headcount provided by SAME Honolulu prior to the day of the event. Mahalo for your cooperation!
